For a long time, we can not think of a title of Call of Duty without a Zombies mode, because the terrifying experience, which began with World at War, became popular worldwide with the series of Black Ops and from there, every title of the franchise allows us to finish with hordes of zombies for many hours.

It shouldn't come as a surprise that the popular Zombies mode will be in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Elsewhere, Activision big cheese Coddy Johnson revealed during its recent Q1 earnings call (via Seeking Alpha) that the Black Ops series has notched up some 200 million players in the past eight years, who have in turn played billions of hours worth of matches.

"What's lurking around the corner of Treyarch's next Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 Zombies experience?" The official game reveal is set for later this month but a full showcase is expected at E3 2018.

Of course E3 will take place in June, long after Treyarch have completed their much anticipated curtain raiser at the community reveal event on May 17th. Thanks to titles like Epic Games' Fortnite and Bluehole Studio's PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds dominating news cycles, a major trend favoring battle royale titles seems to continue on an upward swing, and Treyarch may be able to dedicate a solid amount of time to put its own unique spin on the genre that outshines Zombies.

And Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 will launch earlier than ever, with an October 12 release date being readied for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
