High humidity continues to linger, making it the third muggy start this week. "There may be heavy downpours with some of the showers which may cause localized flooding". Instead of widespread storms and a constant threat for flooding, the period from Thursday through the weekend will be a little more typical in terms of mid-summer weather. Highs through Wednesday will only warm into the mid to upper 80s.

As a low pressure system remains nearby, more scattered showers and storms will pop up on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday with highs in the mid/upper 80s, lows near 70º.

More try time arrives for the end of the week and the weekend, but there will be shower and storm chances. It will remain breezy today and some of the showers and storms could contain some gusty wind.
