  • Mohamed Salah netted against Manchester City

Manchester City midfielder David Silva says his current contract, which runs until 2020, could be his last at the Premier League champions and has ruled out a future move to any rival club in England.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says Mohamed Salah is injury free after the Egypt global marked his return with a goal in the worldwide Champions Cup win over Manchester City.

Salah was introduced as a second-half substitute in Liverpool's International Champions Cup clash against City in the United States and the 26-year-old levelled the scores nearly immediately before forward Sadio Mane scored the victor.

"The second half pleased me, first half not so much", Klopp said. He is in that moment but he has absolutely no issues, I was not concerned about it otherwise he wouldn't have played.

"So it was really a nice second half which helped us a lot because we all see it's still there, it's all good". For 75 minutes, it was incredible with the players we have what we did against that team - the finalists of the Champions League, who have wonderful players. We need to keep improving as a side with him as well, and make sure that all the pressure is not on his shoulders to deliver goals and get us out of tough situations. This year, the City boss needs him to be at his very best from the opening games of the season - the Community Shield clash with Chelsea on August 5 followed by the Premier League opener at Arsenal seven days later. But we are going to adapt. "English people love that type of football - those type of games, and that's why I'm so happy here".

Meanwhile, despite playing with mainly reserves in the first stanza, Mahrez displayed his creativity and pace on several occasions for Man City. "It is business. We pray before the game that there would be no injuries and that's what happened".

"The best players in the world aren't known because they just did it in one season, they do it over and over again", Milner said.
