  • Police in Missouri respond to possible Mollie Tibbetts sighting

The family of a 20-year-old college student who disappeared in Iowa two weeks ago is now offering $172,000 to help bring her home.

When asked whether he had a message for his missing daughter, her father, Rob Tibbetts told HLN, CNN's sister network, "Just hang in there, pie". He said she stayed at his Brooklyn house alone and watched his dogs.

Kevin Winker, director of investigative operations at the Iowa Department of Public Safety, refused to say whether they've identified any suspects in the ongoing case.

Police in Kearney, Missouri, say they've responded to a possible sighting of a missing University of Iowa student.

The clothing item was reportedly found by a person mowing the lawn near the Lincoln Wildlife Reserve, which is in the same area as a pig farm searched by FBI investigators last week for almost two hours.

On Thursday, her family and Crime Stoppers of Central Iowa are holding a press conference to discuss the case.

"We believe Mollie is still alive and if someone abducted her, we are pleading with you to please release her", she told the press.

Investigators have said previously that they were confident on Tibbetts' digital footprint, but they did not release any information as to where that was. Calderwood believes it's possible that someone took her daughter.

"At this point, we don't know her exact whereabouts but we continue to look".

The morning after she disappeared, Tibbetts' family reported her missing after she didn't show up to her job at a daycare center in a nearby town. "We are deeply appreciative of the partnership with law enforcement and media".

WQAD's fellow ABC affiliate KCRG in Cedar Rapids is reporting a heavy law-enforcement presence on a rural stretch of highway in Poweshiek County that could be related to the disappearance of Mollie Tibbetts. She called Tibbetts an "incredibly strong woman".

In the meantime, Jack told ABC News he's "just taking it day by day".

Tibbetts was last seen wearing dark-colored running shorts, a pink sports top and running shoes.
