  • India batsman Virat Kohli celebrates his century during day two of the First Specsavers Test Match between England and India at Edgbaston

Intermittent rain delayed the start of the second Test between India and England in London on Thursday.

England have recalled Chris Woakes to the Test team, replacing Ben Stokes, while India made two changes following their defeat at Edgbaston with Cheteshwar Pujara and Kuldeep Yadav coming in for Shikhar Dhawan and Umesh Yadav. Virat Kohli and Co are now 0-1 down in the series and Gautam Gambhir, the Delhi-born cricketer, reckons that it will be extremely hard for India to make a comeback if they lose the upcoming match. The former India star is the leading Test and ODI run-scorer of all time, and is widely regarded as one of the game's greatest-ever batsmen.

Captain Kohli hasn't played the same XI in successive Tests for 36 matches, dating back to the 2014 Adelaide Test in which he led India in whites for the first time in his career.

Meanwhile, Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out of the Test match and that could mean an unchanged Indian seam attack.
