Furious Trump blasts Omarosa as a 'dog'

Manigault Newman - who has been promoting her new memoir, "Unhinged", in advance of its release Tuesday - said during an interview on MSNBC's "Velshi & Ruhle" that White House officials "were talking about early on doing something to help combat the violence in Chicago that we have seen rise to levels that are just unacceptable". "Good work by General Kelly for quickly firing that dog!" he wrote.

Ms Manigault-Newman, who is known to the U.S. public as Omarosa, was renowned for her ruthless tactics and outspoken attitude on the show. Despite her unpopularity, or maybe because of it, Manigault Newman managed to eke out an incredible 75 episodes over three seasons of Trump's show. "I also never heard Omarosa complain that he had done that, and so the only thing that's changed is that she's now selling books". "I asked if I could go get my purse where I had stashed my inhaler, and they wouldn't let me leave the room". So much for his campaign promise to hire "the best people".

She added: "And that's not appropriate".

In tweets Monday night, Trump denied ever using "such a bad and disgusting word", and his aides have denied having strategized about how to contain the damage if such a tape surfaced.

Other former West Wing staffers have landed in similarly paying gigs: Keith Schiller, Trump's longtime bodyguard and one-time director of Oval Office operations, makes $15,000 per month advising the Republican National Committee on security arrangements for the 2020 GOP convention. Hitting out at the former aide after the release of the recording, Trump tweeted: "Wacky Omarosa, who got fired 3 times on the Apprentice, now got fired for the last time".

Melania infamously sparked outrage after wearing a jacket with the words "I really don't care, do u?" on a flight to meet detained immigrant children. "And as a result, I resigned", she said.

"So recordings of conversations, they provide a bit more hard evidence - rather than the toing and froing of people making claims and Trump denying them".

"And at one moment, he's tweeting that he wants to do something about Chicago, and then the next minute he's complaining about the Democratic mayor of Chicago and saying just let the people die there", she said.

Throughout the book, though, Manigault-Newman dished out her own insults, blasting Trump as "moblike", and likening him to a "cult leader".

In a statement released Monday, Patterson called Manigault Newman's book "a complete work of fiction" and called the alleged Trump tape using the n-word "imaginary".

Trump said in an August 13 tweet that Manigault Newman indeed signed such an agreement.

But he added: "This is a modern day form of communication and I know the Fake News Media will be working overtime to make even Wacky Omarosa look legitimate as possible".

The White House claims the book is "riddled with lies".

Manigault Newman clearly wasn't the only one who felt she needed to protect herself with audio recordings.

But Trump has been defending himself on Twitter from her other criticisms.

"It's sad that a disgruntled former White House employee is trying to profit off these false attacks, and even worse that the media would now give her a platform, after not taking her seriously when she had only positive things to say about the president during her time in the administration".
