Oklahoma is in the College Football Playoff, moving into the fourth and final spot in the rankings after winning the Big 12 championship.

Clemson head coach Dabo Swinney raises the trophy after Clemson won the Atlantic Coast Conference championship NCAA college football game against Pittsburgh in Charlotte, N.C., Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018. The Sooners may be lacking on defense but their offense is historically good, and they avenged their only loss against Texas in the Big 12 title game.

As players tuned into the selection show, they saw Oklahoma's name appear on the bracket in the No. 4 spot.

Alabama-Oklahoma will kick off at 7 p.m. CT on ESPN on December 29.

Clemson (the ACC champion) and Notre Dame (undefeated) should occupy the top three spots, likely in that order.

Despite having not lost a game since the 2016 season, UCF find themselves preparing for a bowl game instead of a playoff game once again. The Bulldogs dropped from No. 4 to No. 5 after squandering a 14-point lead to top-ranked Alabama in the SEC Championship.

- UGA's loss to Alabama in the Southeastern Conference championship has cost the Dawgs dearly. According to Westgate LV Superbook, the Bulldogs would be favored over both Oklahoma and Ohio State on a neutral field. The Bulldogs beat Hawaii in a 41-10 no-contest.

Its season-high ranking in the College Football Playoff's top 25 was No. 12, which it earned in each of the past three weeks, while its season low was No. 20.
