  • A migrant helps bundle and clear trash as most Central Americans leave a sports complex shelter that authorities were trying to close in Tijuana Mexico Saturday Dec. 1 2018. By Saturday afternoon most of the thousands of migrants who had been camped

The Chinese tourists also posed for pictures next to the Tijuana border wall with San Diego in California as workers kept a door open while it was being repaired.

"It's very disappointing because everything is normal in Tijuana, and it's a very isolated area where the migrants are", he said.

A news release from Customs and Border Protection said six people, including two children, received assistance from another person who did not climb over the 18-foot wall and remained in Mexico after dropping the children to family members below.

According to Reuters, numerous "frustrated and exhausted" immigrants quickly surrendered to the U.S. Border Patrol, hoping that once in the U.S.

The new shelter is being run by federal authorities.

And despite what CNN's Jim Acosta and other Leftwing media figures would like Americans to believe, while the situation in Tijuana, Mexico continues to deteriorate as thousands of illegal aliens wait to gain access to the United States, the border crisis is also growing along many other sectors of the border. And members of the Tijuana medical association are offering discounts and benefits for local and US patients to try to make up for lost business.

Thousands of migrants, mostly Hondurans, have joined caravans in recent weeks in an effort to speed across Mexico to request refuge at the US border.

"They previously were residing at the Benito Juarez Sports Complex near the San Ysidro U.S. -Mexico Port of Entry until this past weekend, when that camp was shut down over 'bad sanitary conditions'".

The U.S. says it can process up to 100 people a day at the Tijuana crossing, UPI reports. US officials said agents had been wounded or hit by migrants throwing stones.

Since being transferred to the new shelter, Tijuana's municipal authorities have refused to provide details about the migrants.

Tijuana Mayor Juan Manuel Gastélum said it is costing the city $25,000 per day to feed and house the 7,000 migrants now in the city.

Last week the mayor sent a deputy to Mexico City to petition the United Nations Human Rights Ombudsman and High Commissioner for Refugees to assist the migrants.

Officials said the migrants were not forced to move, but food and medical services at the original camp would no longer be available.

But it is still crowded. Last year, more than 26,000 illegal immigrants were arrested in addition to almost 11,000 pounds of marijuana and 3,000 pounds of cocaine that were seized.
