See the top 10 searches globally based on data by users across the world. While the lists include topics from many fields of endeavor, music-related searches were especially popular this year. We also searched for how to be a good citizen, how to be a good friend, and how to be a good dancer. The top people searched for were Meghan Markle, Demi Lovato, Sylvester Stallone, Logan Paul, and Khloe Kardashian. The fifth most popular "What is." search is "What is the Commonwealth".

In the United Kingdom, the most popular overall search was, perhaps quite unsurprisingly, the World Cup, the 21st round of which took place this summer. The top news topics searched for across the globe were World Cup, Hurricane Florence, Mega Millions Result, Royal Wedding, and Election Results.
