  • Cleveland hospital no longer employs Muslim doctor who made violent anti-Jewish remarks on social media

"In no way do these beliefs reflect those of our organisation", the Cleveland Clinic added in its statement.

Kollab has gone radio silent, deactivating her social media accounts.

Lara Kollab has been identified as the fired Cleveland Clinic employee behind anti-Semitic comments that appeared on social media, a report said.

INSIDER reached out to Kollab for comment on Wednesday but did not receive a response.

Following the discovery of her "wrong meds" tweet, it was found out that Dr. Kollab has been posting anti-Semitic messages on social media for "years". She also repeatedly expressed hope that "Allah will kill the Jews".

The Cleveland Clinic has since condemned Dr Kollab, who retains her medical license, and confirmed that she is no longer working at the hospital. "We fully embrace diversity, inclusion and a culture of safety and respect across our entire health system", the statement said.

However, it was unclear whether she had been fired because of her posts.

Her comments from 2011 to 2017 have been documented by the Canary Mission, which scours social media to locate remarks that are anti-Semitic and anti-Israel.

The State Medical Board of OH says Kollab has been working with a training certificate issued in July 2018.

Dr Kollab, who is of Palestinian heritage, was awarded her medical degree by a Jewish-affiliated college in NY a year ago.

"After this debate, I have to watch a movie on the holocaust and write a paper on it".

"Touro College is appalled by the anti-Semitic comments reportedly made by Lara Kollab, a graduate of the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine", the school tweeted.

The outrageous tweets were grabbed by Canary Mission who presented them to The Cleveland Clinic.

Kollab, who is from Westlake, Ohio and is of Palestinian heritage, was awarded her medical degree by Touro College past year, which is a Jewish-affiliated college.

"We are shocked that one of our graduates would voice statements that are antithetical to Touro and to the physicians' Hippocratic Oath", the school tweeted.

Kollab's medical licence, which was issued by the State Medical Board of OH in July, is still active, according to public records The Cleveland Plain Dealer reviewed.

"It is the mission of the State Medical Board of OH to protect the health and safety of all Ohioans".
