  • The Galaxy S10 won't be the first Samsung phone to feature an in-display fingerprint sensor

Samsung is now working on a new Galaxy A-series smartphone, dubbed Samsung Galaxy A50.

Samsung unveiled its first foldable smartphone back in early November, during its yearly developer conference, but didn't tell us what it would be called.

With all these new features, Samsung probabably wanted to make sure they got eveyrhting right before they start annoucing and releasing it so that we do not see another Nore 7 disaster. The Dutch publication also suggests that this will be an optical fingerprint scanner instead of an ultrasonic variant. The report further reveals that the Galaxy A50 will be backed by a 4000mah battery and not 5000mAh battery as rumoured previously.

In a related report from IANS, Samsung will launch its new Galaxy "M" series of smartphones in India in January 2019.

The Galaxy A50 is said to belong to Samsung's mid-range segment but even though the phone is said to be affordable rumours claim that the A50 will come with wireless charging support. On the hardware front, the Galaxy A50 is expected to be powered by Samsung's proprietary Exynos 9610 processor which is built on the 10nm production process. We would have to wait to know more about the launch date of the device. All Galaxy S10 phones, Lite included, should have camera holes at the top, which means the screen-to-body ratio will increase dramatically. Galaxy S10 series of phones are said to launch running on Android 9 Pie out-of-the-box. Apart from that, the phone is reported to come loaded with new Infinity display with a punch hole design and it will be available in 64GB and 128GB of storage options.
