The pair were the billed as the best fight on the undercard of Manny Pacquiao's WBA welterweight title defence against Adrien Broner, but things took a nasty turn in the seventh round when the pair clashed heads.

It was an immediate indication that Broner believes he did enough to beat Manny Pacquiao in a fight Pacquiao obviously won.

Two judges scored the bout 116-112 in favour of Pacquiao, while the third had the Filipino Senator a 117-111 victor.

Pacquiao again struck hard in the ninth round with a follow-up left straight that had Broner backing up. Leonard Ellerbe, CEO of Mayweather Promotions, said during the post-fight press conference that Mayweather won't end a third retirement to oppose Pacquiao again.

"Congratulations, Senator Manny Pacquiao!" "Everybody out there know I beat him". I hit him clean more times.

Pacquiao, whose pro career stretches back 24 years, showed he still has the speed that carried him over his spectacular career. Pacquiao was a lean 146 pounds while Broner was a trim 146.5 at the official weigh-in held at the same venue of their bout. "I'm 3-3-1 in my last seven, but I'd be 7-0 against you", Broner snapped. As a member of PBC, Pacquiao has a number of potential big welterweight fights to have, but those fights can't happen unless he is victorious against Broner, a former champion who is looking for his career-defining win.

Jon Turner has all the info you need about the fighter who calls himself "The Problem". "And right now I'm living a happy and healthy life".

At the conclusion of the pay-per-view bout, all three judges heavily favored Pacquiao; they had it 117-111 and 116-112 (twice).

Turns out he had plenty, in a fight that was entertaining even if it wasn't a classic. Broner threw only 295 punches and landed just 50.
