  • Mario Kart mobile game delayed until summer

During the company's financial results briefing for the end of a year ago, Nintendo President Shuntaro Furukawa revealed that the film is eyeing a 2022 release date.

Dr. Mario World is being co-developed by Line, a Japanese mobile developer mainly known for the messaging app of the same name. So let's dive in to see some more details on the matter. Nintendo hasn't announced any other plans to include it in a second season pass or in some bundle once the fighter pass has been released.

Rumours have swirled for months now that Nintendo was planning to release new Switch hardware in 2019, but exactly what that might be is a mystery. In addition to Mario Kart Tour, Nintendo revealed that it is also going to partner with Line Corp.to launch another game called Dr. Mario World this summer. Action-puzzle game Dr. Mario World will debut in summer 2019.

The game is scheduled to launch in the early summer and will feature optional in-app purchases.

Taking inspiration from Tetris, Dr. Mario is a frantic puzzle game in which players match blocks as they fall from the top of the screen to the bottom.

According to credible new reports from Japan's Nikkei (via Engadget) the latter is true, with Nintendo eyeing off the customers who consider the Switch too bulky to be truly portable.

Suppliers and some developers already know of the portable focussed Switch, Tweeted Nintendo Life's Steve Bowling, but he reminded us a pinch of salt is still required, even with such well sourced rumours as the Nikkei, and the WSJ past year. What are your thoughts on the matter?
