Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez are engaged! The couple announced it on social media with a picture of the ring. The screenshot read, "A soulmate isn't someone who completes you".

The baseball legend and the Bronx-born singer/actress have been dating for about two years.

He and Lopez, 49, began dating in 2017. Rodriguez posted an image of an engagement ring on a woman's hand with the caption "she said yes" while Lopez posted the same photo captioned with heart emojis.

The pair officially celebrated their two-year anniversary on February 4, and the former New York Yankee shared a heartfelt message to his now-fiancee.

"It's good, it's healthy; we communicate well".

Lopez is best known for musical hits including "Jenny From The Block", "Love Don't Cost a Thing" and "Waiting for Tonight".

Jennifer Lopez and retired baseball great Alex Rodriguez have been one of the most glam celebrity couples in recent years. Rodriguez's daughters, Natasha and Ella, are from his marriage to Cynthia Scurtis, which ended in 2008.

It will be the fourth marriage for Lopez, who divorced singer Marc Anthony in 2014, and the second for Rodriguez, who has been divorced since 2008.
